Grow with Us: Keep Hannan Healthy Foods Farm Alive

Hannan Healthy Foods — a small, community-centered farm in Lincoln, MA — needs your help!
The Farm’s Story
Founded in 2018, Hannan Healthy Foods’ mission is to make high-quality, healthy food accessible to everyone, to educate the next generation about the importance of eating healthy, and to appreciate the hard work that makes this possible.
Lovingly run by Mohammed Hannan, who immigrated with his family to the U.S. from Bangladesh, the certified organic farm has become a local staple and valuable support system for the many who benefit from its operation.
To meet its mission, Hannan Healthy Foods has led a variety of initiatives geared toward building community. These include a recent partnership with Cambridgeport Public School to include a percentage of the farm’s proceeds; and donated produce for their fundraiser. In addition, a group of 5th graders visited the farm to learn about organic gardening.
How You Can Help
The sudden and unexpected cut in federal funding eliminated a vital portion of financial operating support of the farm. That loss has left the farm struggling to maintain its current operations — let alone grow toward long-term sustainability.
Now, Hannan Healthy Foods is turning to the larger community — our neighbors, customers, and friends — to ask for your help in ensuring that the farm will be able to continue its work of providing wholesome organically grown food to its broad community — from the well-to-do to the under-resourced of Greater Boston.

Our Goal
Your donation will go directly toward two key projects that will allow us not just to survive this moment, but to build toward a stronger, more stable future of the farm:
- Basic infrastructure improvements ($35,000) - Much-needed gravel road for all-weather access to farm and various site upgrades to enhance volunteer and visitor experiences, and create new opportunities for family-friendly and educational programming (such as pick-your-own produce, field trips and a self-guided farm tour trail).
- Root Cellar ($25,000) - To store certain crops (like winter squashes, melons, onions, garlic and seeds) to sustain over seasons, scale up produce for additional food hubs, and provide new educational programming opportunities geared toward greener sustainability and resilience.
Why it matters
There is a lot of work that goes into farming. Hannan Healthy Foods Farm is a small farm with a big vision of reaching underserved communities and building a sustainable healthy future for all. But with recent funding cuts, your support is needed now more than ever to achieve this vision.
Even small donations make a big difference! If you can’t give, you can still help by sharing this campaign with others in your network.
Thank you for your support,
The Hannan Healthy Foods Family
