Hello every one my name is Natasha and I am setting up this GoFundMe to support the family of my best friend Rhian during a difficult time and to show them they are not facing this journey alone. As friends, family, and a wider community, I want to show them how we can come together to help ease some of the pressure ahead and support them however we can, they are a very proud family and work so so hard to be able to support their son in his surgery. Rugby has always been a huge part of their lives, so I am also reaching out to the incredible rugby community to stand beside them — showing the same teamwork, strength, and support that the sport is built on.
I am hoping to raise funds to support Garin as he begins recovery after sadly being injured since November 2025.
Rugby has always been a huge part of Garin’s life with him joining rugby tots at 5 years of age progressing through the years playing the sport he loves at district level. Garin currently plays for Cardiff blues academy and his progress has been stunted by the injury, the surgery will help him get back to fulfilling his potential.
His passion, dedication, and commitment to the sport shine through both on and off the pitch. While the surgery is an important step toward recovery, the road afterwards will be physically and emotionally challenging.
Garins surgery is scheduled for 27th June with a long 6 month recovery programme, Garins surgery is self funded as the NHS waiting list is over 2 years long and Garin is enrolled to start rugby college in Septemper.
The funds raised will help support Garin focus fully on recovery and returning to the sport he loves.
Anyone who knows Garin knows how determined, hardworking, and rugby-mad he is. Lets do everything possible to support him through this recovery journey and help him come back stronger.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference and be deeply appreciated. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this page would mean the world.
Thank you so much for your kindness, support, and generosity.
