Hello, my name is Danielle, a proud Jamaican now living in the United Kingdom.

Hurricane Mellisa has devastated several parts of Jamaica, and while my family is safe, the community of Adelphi to Content has been hit especially hard. Many of our neighbours and community members have suffered catastrophic losses; homes destroyed, jobs lost, and lives tragically impacted. Roads have been badly damaged, leaving some areas cut off from the city, making it extremely difficult for residents to access food, clean water, and essential supplies.

While the government will provide some assistance, the reality is that not everyone will receive help, especially in rural areas like ours. Many are struggling right now ; they need food, toiletries, and basic necessities.

I am organizing this fundraiser to purchase bulk food items and essential supplies in Jamaica for direct distribution to those most affected.

Unfortunately, I am not in a position to provide housing support at this time, but together we can help ensure no one goes hungry.
