Help Support Elliott’s Fight Against Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

Donation protected
In December 2024, 12-year-old Elliott McLoughlin was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.

Since then, he has been undergoing intensive treatment at Children’s Health Ireland, Crumlin, and Cork University Hospital, under the care of his Paediatric Haematology Consultant. This diagnosis has been a devastating shock to the McLoughlin family, and they are doing everything they can to support Elliott through this difficult journey.

Elliott is one of four children in the household. His parents, Conor and Franziska, are both unable to work—Conor is still recovering from a severe stroke he suffered in 2019, while Franziska has been dedicated to caring for him and their children. The financial burden of Elliott’s illness has been overwhelming, with mounting expenses for hospital travel, medications, car maintenance, and other essential care costs that are not fully covered by the public health system.

The family’s main goal is to get Conor back driving, as he has not been able to drive since his stroke. This would be life-changing, providing the independence they desperatley need to manage hospital visits, school runs, and daily life while Elliott is undergoing treatment. To make this possible, the family needs to cover the costs of insurance, motor tax, and any necessary vehicle modifications. This is their top priority, as it will greatly improve their ability to support Elliott and maintain some semblance of normalcy.

We are reaching out for support to help cover these urgent expenses and keep the family afloat during this incredibly challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in ensuring Elliott receives the care he needs without placing further strain on the family.

Any surplus funds raised will be donated to Childhood Cancer Ireland, Cork University Hospital, and Children’s Health Ireland, to support other families facing similar battles.

The McLoughlins express their heartfelt gratitude for the kindness, generosity, and support they have received so far. They ask that everyone continue to keep Elliott in their thoughts as he fights this battle with courage and determination.
