My wonderful friend and colleague of 13 years + has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her journey has begun. Due to circumstances beyond her control, she will not be able to off set any extra costs not covered by OHIP and will not be able to collect disability for her much needed recuperation time. Being a survivor of this dreadful disease, I know the costs that can add up and how quickly this can happen. Some of the things that are not covered may include: wigs, inserts, medication treatment - both needed and prophylactic medications, and specially made clothing to name a few. I am asking all of you to find it in your heart to donate to this GOFund for Dorothy's well being. Any amount would be deeply appreciated. The funds will go directly to her and her expenditures vs an organization. She will be able to use the money to help pay her bills and extra costs involved with this type of diagnosis.
