My name is Juan, and I am creating this fundraiser for my brother, Divad Rodriguez, a 38-year-old father of three beautiful girls (ages 7, 3, and 2). He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and is now living in Rochester, NY with his family.

When Divad was only 4 years old, he was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Over the years, his health has continued to decline. On several occasions, he has even fallen into a coma for days at a time. Despite his struggles, Divad never let his condition stop him from working hard and providing for his daughters.

In 2024, he had surgery on his arm. Now, in 2025, his health has taken a more serious turn. He urgently needs a kidney transplant. He has been experiencing severe bleeding and currently relies on a medical tube in his stomach to manage his condition.

Just last month, Divad underwent three surgeries on his eyes, which tragically left him completely blind. Because of this, he is unable to work and provide for his young family. He has applied for Social Security disability assistance, but the process is slow, and right now there is no income coming in to cover rent, food, or daily expenses.

Divad has always been a fighter. He has worked through pain and setbacks his entire life to care for his loved ones. But today, he needs help.

This fundraiser is to support his family during this extremely difficult time—covering housing costs, groceries, medical expenses, and basic needs while he waits for the life-saving care and financial assistance he desperately needs.
