Help Support Daniela in Her Recovery Journey

We’re reaching out on behalf of my sister in law, Daniela, who has recently experienced a serious and life-threatening medical emergency.

In late April, Daniela began experiencing severe symptoms that led to multiple ER visits. Daniela was ultimately diagnosed with diverticulitis, which was complicated by her pre-existing autoimmune condition (Lupus/Connective Tissue Disease). On May 9, Daniela was rushed back to the ER with a perforated intestine and sepsis, requiring emergency surgery to save her life and reconstruct her GI tract.

Since then, Daniela has endured several complications—including infections, hospitalization, and a recent stay in the ICU—and she still faces a long road to recovery. Daniela has not been unable to work, and her husband, Angel, has also had to take time off to care for her and manage their small business.

Medical bills, prescriptions, dietary needs, and recovery-related costs are quickly adding up. We’ve created this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden and allow Daniela to focus on healing.
