This fund-raiser aims to support three grass roots organisations as they continue their tireless work against systematic social and environmental issues within Nairobi's slums. Your donations will fund projects addressing education, child hunger, homelessness, crime, food supply, waste management & carbon capture.

Komb Green Solutions
Komb Green Solutions is an organisation which takes a holistic approach to broad social and environmental issues within Nairobi's Korogocho Slum. What began as a hands on clean up effort has evolved into a comprehensive, solutions based program aimed at empowering youth and the community to be a part of positive change for education, employment, environment and hunger.
Watoto Library
A small community library with a big heart, Watoto Library was founded by Brandon Okoth, a 23 year old hailing from Kibera Slum. Brandon is changing the lives of children through daily programs which he offers free to all children in need. He offers a safe space to complete their school work, receive tutorship and take part in extra-curriculars such as chess, dance & introductory computer lessons.
Mama Elizabeth Children’s Home
Hundreds of children from difficult circumstances have gained access to safe spaces to live, learn, play and access food through Mama Elizabeth’s various programs. The home currently supports 61 permanent residents for their housing, nutritional and educational needs. Additionally, the program provides 3 meals per day, 6 days a week for up to 400 children at a time.
These slum communities exist at the very margins of humanity and without noteworthy government or social support. Issues such as hunger, education, unemployment, waste management, sanitation, domestic and gang violence, physical and sexual abuse and reproductive health are among the myriad areas of concern which are being addressed by these grass roots organisations.

We have been fortunate enough to spend time with each group as they work to support their community and grow their impact. The upper limits of their potential to foster positive change in their communities is only limited by their access to funding.
Please join us in pursuit of our $10,000 goal;
Komb Green's immediate goal is to establish a high density farming system within Korogocho Slum in celebration of Earth Day 2023. This farm will serve to provide nutrient rich food and income opportunities to a struggling community.

Watoto Library hope to expand their learning centre and provide refuge for more children to further their studies. Our experiences have illustrated clearly the differing opportunities afforded to children who have been educated, vs those who have not. In the slums we have seen powerful examples of local people who have raised themselves out of dire circumstances through education and are now dedicating their lives to supporting others.

Mama Elizabeth Children's Home hope to expand their food and education programs and provide the basic needs for as many children as possible. In Kenya, food costs have increased substantially stretching the centre's limited resources as they strive to feed countless hungry mouths.

Please consider donating to help these organisations expand their operations and support the millions currently living in Nairobi's Slums.
