Escuelita Oscar Romero is an after school tutoring program for migrant kids escaping violence and poverty in Central America based in Philadelphia — run by volunteers from the Party for Socialism and Liberation and the Philadelphia Liberation Center. Now that summer break is here, kids need a place to eat healthy food, play fun activities, and most importantly, be safe while their parents are working.
As the U.S. government's war on immigrants steps up -- including attempts to open up a new detention center for undocumented youth right here in Philadelphia -- we need to come together and build solidarity more than ever so that we can resist these escalating, racist attacks.
This summer program will run in July and August and our after school tutoring program will continue once the school year starts again. As Socialists, we believe every family deserves to live with dignity, and every kid deserves to learn and grow in a safe, healthy environment. Help us help these kids and their families by donating to our fundraiser! Fight for Socialism and a better world!
