Help support Bryce’s recovery journey

04/05/2025 Update - Bryce has been transferred to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he underwent spinal surgery. We’re very relieved to share that the operation went well.
Although he’s still unable to walk and has a long road to recovery ahead, this marks a positive step forward.
Thank you all for the incredible support and kindness.
Just a few short weeks ago, Bryce was out doing what he loves most—riding breakers, shoeing horses, doing long hours in the truck transporting horses and working hard every day. It’s hard to believe that less than 24 hours later, he was rushed to hospital by ambulance with severe back pain, nausea, and vomiting.
Since then, his condition has become increasingly serious. He’s been in hospital for over three weeks now, battling a spinal infection, a bowel obstruction, and even vomiting blood, which led to surgery. Bryce has been unresponsive multiple times and was admitted to intensive care with significant kidney issues. The threat of needing dialysis still looms.
He hasn’t been able to get out of bed since his admission. His mobility is extremely limited, and he faces a long and difficult road to recovery. Right now, returning to work is simply not possible—and may not be for a very long time, if at all.
Anyone who knows Bryce knows how hardworking, humble, and generous he is. This sudden and overwhelming medical crisis has turned life upside down for him and those around him. We’re starting this GoFundMe to support his recovery and ease the financial stress during this time.
Ventura Highway, Hanaki Warrior, Compulsive, and the rest of the team still reside on the farm and are being well cared for. As we all know, Bryce’s horses are his top priority.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you’re not in a position to give, please consider sharing this page with others.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and support.
