Brett and Heather are incredible parents, and their daughter Dallas is their whole world. Right now, she’s facing a very difficult time in the hospital, and they’ve once again put everything on hold to be right by her side — every moment of every day.
With both of them focused entirely on Dallas, they’ve had to step away from work, and the financial strain is real. While they never wanted to ask for help, we’re asking on their behalf — because they need it, and because we know how much they mean to so many of us.
Your donation will go directly toward easing the financial burden so they can keep doing what matters most: being there for Dallas. Thank you for standing with this amazing family.

Here is a brief summary of what Dallas is going through, just in case you need more information! Dallas is currently facing a challenging battle with Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy (ANE), an extremely rare and serious condition with only a few hundred reported cases worldwide. ANE causes brain damage and typically strikes after an acute febrile illness, often triggered by viral infections like influenza. Dallas first encountered this devastating disease in 2022, when doctors discovered she was fighting four viruses at once.
Over the past three years, Dallas has shown incredible resilience. With unwavering determination, she made a remarkable, near-full recovery thanks to her dedication to ongoing physical and occupational therapy, alongside monthly IVIG infusions—a treatment that delivers vital antibodies from donors to help her body combat infections and disease in hopes of preventing an overactive immune response.
Now, Dallas is experiencing another episode of ANE, and the path forward remains uncertain. She and her family are receiving exceptional care at UNC Children's Hospital, where her medical team is doing everything possible to support her. Recovery from ANE is a slow and unpredictable process, but Dallas is taking it one day and one step at a time, with the same strength and spirit that carried her through before.
