Our family is reaching out on behalf of Jackie and Blake who have just welcomed their first baby Loni Jay van Rooy far earlier than imagined on the 26th November 2025.

At just 28+5 weeks gestation, Jackie went into sudden premature labour, and their tiny but incredibly brave girl Loni made her entrance into the world. Instead of preparing for the final months of pregnancy and setting up their home, they were rushed straight into the overwhelming reality of the NICU, where their little one will stay for up to 12 weeks while receiving round-the-clock care.

With her early arrival, Jackie and Blake have found themselves thrown into a completely different start to parenthood than they ever imagined. Instead of bringing their baby home, they’re now facing a long NICU journey — daily visits, learning to navigate a world of monitors and milestones, and adjusting to an emotional and physically exhausting routine.

Although her birth came as a shock, Loni has already shown us that she is incredibly strong. She is doing so well in the NICU, and every day she reminds us how resilient these tiny bubs can be. We are all so proud of her and absolutely amazed by her progress already.

Through all of this, Jackie and Blake have shown incredible strength and love. They’ve faced this unexpected journey with bravery, patience, and unwavering devotion to their little girl

As a family, we’ve created this GoFundMe to help support Jackie, Blake, and little Loni during this time. Our hope is to lift even a small part of the pressure off their shoulders so they can focus entirely on their little girl and on adjusting to this unexpected journey into parenthood. Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward supporting their day to day needs, hospital costs and preparing their home for when their little girl is finally strong enough to come home.
