I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for prayers, love, and support for a family that means so much to me. This is about my stepbrother, his wife, and their children — a family that is currently facing a very difficult season.

Five months ago, they welcomed a precious baby into the world who was diagnosed with tracheomalacia. He has already undergone surgery to correct it, but unfortunately, it hasn’t brought the improvement they were hoping for. While I may not know all the medical details, I do know that the team at Children’s Hospital has done everything they can at this point.

Now, they are preparing to travel to Nashville, Tennessee, where they will be seeking further help and answers from specialists there. Jasmine will be staying with the baby for an unknown amount of time as they navigate this next phase.

To make matters more difficult, my stepbrother has recently been admitted to the hospital as well, and there’s no timeline yet for when he will be able to return home. He is the primary provider for their family, and while they haven’t asked for anything or even hinted at needing help, I feel strongly that we, as a community, can step in and lift them up during this time.
