Help support Alita and her mobility challenges!

Our friends from Campbell River are in need of our support guys! All funds go directly to funding leg braces (AFOs) and physiotherapy appointments for their 20 month old toddler named Alita. Let me tell you, she's a little firecracker!

These incredible parents are working their butts off to provide the maximum care, support and ability for their baby - aren't we all?! Sadly, MSP doesn't cover these things and they've just relocated to Kelowna for career opportunities but are currently without extended benefits.

Help me help THEM buy leg braces for their baby and make sure she receives however many physiotherapy appointments she needs to support her amazing little body.

"Hi Everyone!

Our name's are Sarah & Corey and we are writing this on behalf of our beautiful 20 month old daughter Alita.

Alita has been struggling for the last 7 months with a case of extreme hypermobility that affects her ankle joints - causing instability and preventing her from being able to walk without support.

We have just recently relocated to Kelowna for Corey's apprenticeship and are currently without any extended medical coverage for Alita until Corey's probationary period is over. That being said, his benefits won't even begin to cover the amount of therapy that Alita requires.

This has put a huge financial strain on our family as right now Alita's condition requires weekly physio and AFO's (leg braces). The financial demands are real. Each physio appointment is over $100 and her AFO's cost $2,300.

We have been applying to numerous charities and are currently waiting on our claim to go through Fair Pharmacare but so far we have received nothing.

It is really hard to admit how stressful this has been for our family, you don't picture toddlerhood as nothing but therapy appointments and uncertainty on what this means for Alita's future mobility.

If you are able to support us, even $5 would mean the world. I will give updates for any supporters throughout Alita's therapies and can't thank you enough for helping our family out. Alita deserves the chance to be able to walk and run and play just like all of the other kids her age and we will do anything in order to make that happen.
