Help support a family of 5 after a tragic death
Donation protected
My name is Mohammed Salheiah I am the eldest son of Mousa Salheiah. I have 3 younger siblings (Amina 16, Ziad 13) and my mother (Nawal). Our father/husband Mousa has passed away on June 4th, 2023. He was our breadwinner, our main provider, a caretaker and a very respected and loved person. My father was in lots of pain in his right leg and I took him to the hospital on May 10th. My dads blood levels were very very low and he had to have a blood transfusion done. Along with that after doing test on his leg, he had a tumor, and was in need of surgery to get it removed along with a hip replacement as well. After some more tests and biopsies, the doctors discovered my dad had Stage 4 Cancer on May 15th, 5 days after i originally brought him to the hospital for just his leg pain. They were concerned that treating him with chemo right away would damage him more than help him since he was very weak. They provided him with medications and still continued to do more blood transfusions because his blood levels would not rise and go back to normal. As my dad was in the hospital he was in lots of pain everyday, waking up suddenly throughout the night, and had his room being changed constantly from floor to floor. My family and I really tried our best to keep our father Mousa strong throughout his 25 days in the hospital, on day 25, my mother and I received a call from the hospital at 12:15 am telling us to come to the hospital right away. We got there along with my little siblings and I was told that this is the last time I’d see my father alive, but that they’ll do whatever it takes to keep him strong. At 11:59 am I held my father in my arms hugging him and hanging onto him, once 12 pm hit, I looked up and my father passed away right in front of me. The most difficult thing is seeing someone who brought you into this world, raised you, and someone who loved you more than anything, leave this dunya right in your arms. My father is no longer suffering, he is in a better place now, Allah Yerhamo. We will continue his legacy forever. This gofundme is to support my family, the Salheiah family financially. The money that is donated will go towards Bills, Food and Household care products that are very much needed. We ask if you come across this page please spread, and any donations help even if it’s a small amount. Thank you very much for taking the time to read and support my family.
