Help support a family of 10 in a rough time of need !

My name is Shawna. My husband and I have 8 children here in the Berkshires. Two years ago, we moved into an apartment and within 2-3 months, our apartment, which we had just moved into with everything brand new, was fully infested! Due to the negligence of the landlord, property manager, and the tenants upstairs, this caused my family and me to lose everything we had and become homeless in the end. Well, we took them to court, proved our case, and still are dealing with housing court. We agreed to a move-out in housing court (the board of health deemed this place a non-REOCCUPANCY) due to the infestation of bugs and rodents! And well, now they are going back on their word. I have all my proof and documents to prove everything I am saying. Well… all this led my husband, children, and me (a family of 10) to lose out on multiple apartments. My family and I have been dragged through the mud, in and out of court, and trying our best to provide for our 8 children. We have been to every agency, asked everywhere we know of for help. And yes, some have helped, and we are very thankful.
School starts in just a few hours, and I am up writing this. We have been bouncing around for the past 2 going on 3 months. We've been to homeless shelters, DTA, DCF, applied for emergency assistance, and all we are being told is to be patient. Our kids need stability. Our situation is not okay for children. We are in need of a 6-bedroom rental, but we can manage with a 4-bedroom.
My husband and I moved to the Berkshires about 10 years ago with our two boys and built our family out here. But now that our family is bigger than we thought, and due to the negligence of a landlord, we are now homeless!
We are asking for donations to feed, clothe, provide gas, and shelter for our family. As parents, we have tried our best and continue to keep giving our all! We will not stop until a home for us is found, EVEN IF THAT MEANS WE NEED TO MOVE OUT OF THE COUNTY. We have tried to go “home” where our family is and where they have bigger homes that accommodate bigger families, but again, money is very tight, and at this point, as parents, this, what I am typing, is my last Hail Mary.
Honestly, anything will help. Anything is appreciated and will be used accordingly. As a parent, just doing this GoFundMe is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do… but it takes a village, and my husband and I just don’t have that village right now. This is for our children, everything is about our children!!! Thank you to all in advance! You are appreciated!
