Hi, my name is Taylor Long, and I’m a teacher for a local charter school here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I also serve as the staff sponsor for our school’s GSA.

A GSA, or Gender and Sexuality Alliance, is a student-led club that provides a safe, supportive, and affirming space for LGBTQ+ students and their allies. Our GSA focuses on building community, promoting mental health, encouraging self-acceptance, and helping students feel seen and supported at school.

For many of our students, this club is one of the few places where they can fully be themselves without fear or judgment.

We are raising funds to support fun, community-building activities for our students, including a club trip to Skateomania roller skating. Events like this may seem simple, but they mean a lot. They give students a chance to relax, connect with peers, and experience joy in a safe and affirming environment, something that is especially important for LGBTQ+ youth.

Your donation will go directly toward covering admission, skate rentals, and transportation so that all students can participate, regardless of financial barriers. Our goal is to raise $300 and any leftover money will go directly to our club funds and be saved for future events.

Any amount helps and makes a real difference in creating positive, memorable experiences for our kids.
