Help Sule Rebuild and Care for Family in Turkey
Hello friends and supporters,
My name is Sule Gürbüz, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request. In 2021, my 78-year-old mother suffered a debilitating stroke. I returned to Turkey at the time to care for her for six months, but for the past two and a half years, my brother has been her sole caregiver, tirelessly handling everything without a single break. His dedication has been incredible, but it’s now time for me to step in and share this responsibility.
After years of pursuing my passion as a mime artist and healer in Portland, I’ve made the decision to move back to Turkey to care for my mother full-time. This is not an easy transition, but it’s one I’m ready to embrace with your support. While I’m fortunate to have a place to live in my mother’s home, caregiving presents practical challenges. Reliable transportation is essential for managing her medical appointments, errands, and daily needs, but cars in Turkey are prohibitively expensive.
I am humbly asking for $5,000 to cover my relocation expenses, including the $1,000 flight cost, and to initiate a fund toward purchasing a modest, reliable car. This campaign represents more than just a move—it’s about creating a sustainable future where my family can thrive together.
Your generosity will help ease this transition, ensuring my mother gets the care she deserves and allowing my brother some much-needed relief. Every donation, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference. Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
