Hurricane Melissa swept through Westmoreland, Jamaica, leaving a trail of destruction. My sister-in-law Suezette (School Teacher) and her son Ajannie (Firefighter) were among the families affected. Out of the five rooms in their home, only one room remains standing, and they are now living in that single room while facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding from nearly nothing.

The storm destroyed most of their belongings, leaving them with only the bare essentials. They are doing their best to stay safe and care for each other, but the cost of rebuilding is far beyond what they can manage alone.
