The Ford government's proposed Kemptville prison timeline has officially unraveled. First, it was delayed from 2027 to 2032. Now? It's been downgraded to "TBD."

This delay didn't happen because of our local Council, MPP Steve Clark, or the Ministry—all of whom tried to push this project through while paving over farmland and ignoring the Municipal Planning Act.

It happened because of North Grenville residents. Local resistance is working.

Over the last few years, our community has fought back on every front:

• Town halls on tax and infrastructure impacts

• Visible lawn signs and community rallies

• Over 22 Freedom of Information requests exposing a lack of provincial evidence

• A legal Judicial Review holding the Ford government accountable to its own planning policies

As long as we keep working together, this is not a done deal. Let's keep standing up for our community's future!
