Help Stop Overdevelopment at Blueys Beach
Donation protected
Blueys Beach is located on the mid-north coast of NSW. It is renowned not only for its beauty but also for its peaceful ambience and serenity. It is a rare and unique stretch of coastline where bushland, rolling hills and pristine shorelines converge along a highly visible and iconic wildlife corridor at Blueys Beach that is home to koalas, kangaroos, birds and marine life.
Sadly, the unique character of the area is now being threatened by overdevelopment. Approximately 200 new housing lots have been approved along Boomerang Drive leading into the village of Blueys Beach. Now another 79 housing lots are proposed on Lot 23 Boomerang Drive behind Croll St and Newman Ave running up to the existing bushland on Blueys hill behind Ampat Place.
It is not too late to minimise the impact of this proposed development.
Our community organisation, The Pacific Palms Community Association (PPCA) is a not-for-profit community association formed in 1978 to give a voice to the people who live in the Pacific Palms area, which includes Blueys Beach. The PPCA is currently working hard to ensure that the Lot 23 Boomerang Drive Blueys Beach development:
• Complies with Local and State Planning regulations
• Protects local flora and fauna
• Doesn’t burden the area with excess traffic
• Has a stormwater solution that doesn’t endanger existing homes or overflow onto Blueys beach
We need to engage a group of specialist consultants in each of the above fields to ensure any development will meet the highest standards for our community.
Unfortunately, the reality is that specialist consultants and urban planners are expensive. This is where you can help. Please support our local Pacific Palms Community and donate to help ensure our concerns are not just be heard, but also properly addressed.
The damage of overdevelopment to the natural environment and wildlife is irreversible. Please donate today if you are able, as well as share with all your family and friends who either live in or visit Blueys Beach, Pacific Palms.
The Pacific Palms Community sincerely thanks and appreciates your concern and support.
