Help Stock Our Local Community Fridge :)

In Staten Island, many Black and Brown communities, low-income communities, and homeless communities reside on the North Shore. Because of this, the North Shore faces extreme levels of food insecurity, food deserts, food waste, and health disparities compared to the rest of Staten Island. Staten Island’s North Shore contains ten large grocery stores - many of which do not contain FRESH, HEALTHY, and AFFORDABLE food options. Created on the values of interdependence, community restoration, and community empowerment, the Forest Avenue COMEunity Fridge will create a space that provides FREE access to fresh vegetables, fruits, healthy grains, holistic wellness resources + MORE to the North Shore community. The funds raised will be used towards stocking, cleaning, and maintaining the fridge and surrounding area, and distributing wellness resources to our community.  We hope to kickoff this project by the first week of August, so we need as much help as possible! Any amount you can donate is appreciated. :)
