Help Steve's Non-Profit '4Him thru them'

Hi everyone. I am Steve and I have been involved in Mission work for over 20 years and in the past 9 years, I have been actively doing the work. My feet on the ground started in Guatemala working at an orphanage where we would fix and build houses, clinics, paint, repair and do maintenance to the facilities. But I clearly remember the first briefing once we got there. The director of the orphanage, who grew up there, said "There will always be a wall to paint, a window to fix, but the most important thing to build here is a relationship with these children. Let them know you care and that they are important." You see, these children did nothing to be in an orphanage, someone has failed them in some way. So my heart was set to help kids. As a person of faith, scripture tells me to be a father to the fatherless and a champion to the widows. I want to be God's hands and feet and do His work. So this year, we are starting a non-profit "4Him thru them". You cannot tell me that you will go wrong helping children. Children are our future. 4 Him thru them is volunteer-based which means almost all your donations will go to the work/ mission minus the professional fees (internet, accountant, legal, etc.).

This year we will build a house for a family. This is their story, a mom of 3 kids adopted her 5 nieces and nephews after their mother's sudden death. The 5 kids were going to be separated and put in different orphanages. So their aunt adopted them to keep everyone together. What a champion she is. Now she is tasked with raising this new blended family, which is not easy. We would like to take the shelter part of the equation off her shoulders and build bunk beds for the kids. We are in need of volunteers and donations.
