Mama bear, a widow is very proud of her youngest bear Stephen, age 22 who will be graduating from SUNY Plattsburgh in the Spring of 2025 in the field of Expeditionary Studies. Stephen has been driving his older brother's hand me down Toyota Yaris and it's on its last leg. Money has been a challenge for our family since 2017 when Stephen's father died of glioblastoma brain cancer. Stephen was only 14 years old at the time. His father was an avid outdoor enthusiast and Stephen learned to appreciate the outdoors from him. I would love more than anything to be able to help Stephen purchase a new car. This mama bear can't do it alone, so with your help, it would be an early graduation present for him. He has been pulling his weight during his college years working and taking care of his overall well being. He is also a drummer in a popular local band called "US", and needs a vehicle to get to his gigs and his jobs as well as complete his education. Stephen is a kind and empathetic young man and wants to make a difference and bring joy of the outdoors to others via fishing, hiking, kayaking, skiing and rock climbing tours. It hasn't been an easy road for Stephen without a father around, so your help would provide him a well deserved a break. If he didn't pull his own weight, I would never ask for a dime. I imagine happy tears in his eyes when we together as a community can offer him a well deserved gift of wheels. If not happy tears, I'll settle for his beautiful smile.
