Help Stephanie Experience Joy at Camp

Hi there. My name is Andrea Bowman. The picture is of my 38 year old special needs daughter. She lives in a group home in Gladewater Texas. Her Diagnosis: Autism, Major Depressive DO, Mild IDD, Epilepsy, Hyperlipidemia,

GERD, Anxiety DO, and Impulse DO. Look these up if you don't know what they are. I know most don't. It will be easier than me explaining.

It's been a real journey with her. A hard journey. But, we have grown in so many ways through caring for her. She has improved as well in many areas as she has matured.

We're asking for financial help for her to be able to go to Downhome Ranch Camp in Eglin Texas. They don't have any scholarship money this year. They call it Campership. It's an amazing week long camp that helps these campers experience taking care of animals, do gardening, swimming, kyaking, crafts, along with many other fun activities.

This is her vacation, and she looks forward to it every year. It's really good for her. Mentally, emotionally, etc. She can't stop talking about the fun she has when she comes home.

We typically can do something towards this, but unfortunately, My husband lost his job a couple of months ago. And, I haven't been working due to health issues. So, As you can see, we're in a bind. We have maybe enough funds to pay our bills for a few more months. It depends. Our meds., now that our insurance has ended are more, and my son is on insulin because he has type 1 diabetes. Thankfully, we got his insulin refilled right before our insurance ended.

I'm not specifically asking for help for us, but more so for Stephanie to be able to go to camp. She will be really upset if she can't go. He understanding with things, especially with money, is tricky when it comes to explaining to her that we won't have enough money.

The amount due is $1, 176.00. Her camp dates are from June 15th - the 20th. We just found out a couple of days ago that they have no more campership funds. I have been working on the process of getting everything ready for her to go the last 3 months or so. I looked into some 3ed party funding to no avail.

We would appreciate any and all help that can be given. We believe in a BIG GOD! He will provide one way or another. Doing a Go-Fund Me was another option to get help. So, here we are. Humbling ourselves by putting it out there that, once again we are in need. It's been awhile. Those of you who know us, know full well Of our struggles in the past. But, God has provided for us so many times. Over and over again. We can fully testify of his many provisions through the years. We have been blessed. We are rich in Jesus.
