On October 2nd, our family's favorite Auntie received news drastically impacting her life and family. Steph was diagnosed with triple-positive breast cancer and discovered that she carries the brac2 gene; this news was shocking as Steph had no idea she was at risk for this gene. On October 18th, she had a double mastectomy to remove the tumors that were found. Currently, Steph is recovering from surgery before she can start chemotherapy treatment. In addition to upcoming treatment, Steph will require several other surgeries, including breast reconstruction and potential removal of her ovaries. 

This happened fast and with our warning. Steph has had to stop working full-time as an emergency room nurse.

Not only are her medical bills starting to pile up, but Steph is raising two great young boys. We ask for help to cover the family's rent and other unexpected costs while she fights the good fight.
