Hi everyone... As most of you may know, my name is Staci. I don't ask for help much, but I am in need of some help.
On October 4th, I suffered a massive stroke that almost took my life and was life-flighted to Holy Family Hospital out in Spokane. During my stay, they said I had suffered three strokes before this one. They did close monitoring to prevent me from having more. Once the doctor said I was okay to move to St. Luke's Rehabilitation, I was so happy to be on the road to recovery! Well, then we hit a roadblock when I started to have a heart attack and was sent to Sacred Heart. Upon my stay there, they did a heart catheter to check for vegetation on my heart and to check my arteries for blockages. They found one in my widowmaker artery and put a stent in to open up the blockage. Once I was cleared to go back to rehab, I was on the way back to recovery for the second time.
After I did some shock therapy back at rehab, I had the feeling of pins and needles in the back of my head and didn't feel good, so they sent me back to Sacred Heart, where they confirmed my 5th stroke and continued post-stroke care until I was well enough to go back to St. Luke's to continue rehab to get function in my left side.
During all this time, unfortunately, I have not been able to work and do not have enough time with my new company to have paid time off fully or sick leave So financially, im am struggling! At the beginning of the month, I got approved for an apartment and I need to pay the first month's rent and deposit by the end of the month. I have filled out applications for help like with Social Security disability and with Community Action but as we all know I'm sure paperwork takes forever to get filed gone through and approved .
And during this time of waiting financially I'm struggling unfortunately. It's not only rent I have a problem with paying right now it's also the everyday cost of living for household essentials as well as things that I need due to having the medical conditions I'm in now let alone just food. I hate asking for help I'm never one to do it I'm always doing everything I can myself but this obstacle is one I can't do by myself. So if you can help out in any way I would appreciate it more than you can even imagine. But I know times are hard for everyone right now. I want to thank you for your prayers that you said for me the entire time I was in the hospital and in the rehabilitation facility, they have helped tremendously and with all the best wishes and prayers I've been able to come home now. I still have a long road of recovery lots of physical therapy but I didn't determined to get better.
