My name is Roan Pulchan. I’m a Jamaican from St. Elizabeth, now living in London, UK, where I run a building services and maintenance company.
Hurricane Melissa has torn through our beautiful island, and St. Elizabeth has suffered immense destruction. Many—including members of my own family—have lost their homes, their businesses, and access to basic necessities. Entire communities have been forced to start from nothing.
I am raising funds to help my family, friends, and the wider St. Elizabeth community rebuild after this devastation. This disaster hits deeply for me—not only because it is Jamaica, my home, that has been affected, but because my mother’s property and several of my own family members' homes have been destroyed.
I may not have the money to help everyone on my own, but I do have my skills, my hands, and dedicated volunteers by my side. As a builder, I am committed to using every resource I have to help rebuild homes and restore businesses wherever possible.
Right now, the amount of work ahead feels overwhelming—but with your support, I know we can make a real difference.
Funds raised will be used to:
Buy building materials to rebuild homes
Restore and repair as many damaged buildings as possible
Provide food, linen, and essential amenities to families in need
Support the community on its long road to recovery
Jamaica is strong. St. Elizabeth is resilient. And with your help, we can rebuild what was lost and give families hope again.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.
Bless up!!
