Over the past week, Sri Lanka has been struck by one of the most destructive cyclones in recent memory. Entire communities have been submerged, homes washed away, and families left with nothing but the clothes they were wearing when the storm hit. Many of the regions impacted were already struggling—this disaster has pushed them to a level of hardship that no community should ever have to face.

At Kalvi Connections, we have spent more than a decade serving vulnerable families in Sri Lanka through education programs, emergency relief, and community support. Time and time again, we have seen that it is those with the least who are asked to endure the most, first the tsunami, then years of conflict, and now recurring natural disasters that strip away the little stability people work so hard to rebuild.

This cyclone is not just another storm. For many families, it has taken everything.

While we cannot stop these tragedies from happening, we can stand with those who are suffering right now. We can help them rebuild their homes, access to food and clean water, and provide immediate relief to children, elders, and families who have lost everything.

Relationship to the Beneficiaries

Kalvi Connections is a registered non-profit organization with over 13 years of experience supporting underserved communities in Sri Lanka through education, disaster relief, and community development initiatives. The individuals and families benefiting from this fundraiser are members of communities that Kalvi Connections has previously supported and continues to work with through established local partnerships. Our long-standing relationships with community leaders and volunteers on the ground allow us to accurately identify needs and ensure timely and appropriate assistance.

Fund Transfer Plan

All funds raised through this GoFundMe campaign will be received by Kalvi Connections and transferred to trusted local partner organizations and representatives in Sri Lanka. Transfers will be completed using secure and verifiable financial channels. Kalvi Connections maintains oversight throughout the transfer and distribution process and works closely with local partners to ensure funds are used exclusively for cyclone relief efforts and reach the intended beneficiaries efficiently.

Funds raised will be used solely to provide emergency relief and recovery support to families affected by the cyclone. This includes, but is not limited to:
