Sprinkle the Magic of Giving

Donation protected
Today, there are over 40,000 children in either foster homes or homeless nationwide, and most of them have never had a birthday cake. We have a chance to change that, and I would like to champion that chance. Through your help,  we can sprinkle joy, love, and smiles to these underserved children one cake at a time.

Growing up, I never had a birthday cake, either.  When I was 19 months old, I was given away for some medical reason. Though I am grateful that my needs were met as a child, birthdays were never celebrated. I thought that birthdays were just numbers we count for each passing year. Looking back, I feel like I have missed a part of my childhood, an experience I would never wish for anyone. No matter how resilient a child can be in the worst of circumstances, suffering from self-esteem and feeling withdrawn is often inevitable for many.  A small token of love on their birthdays may help alleviate this feeling of uncertainty and longing.  This is why I need your help. Your donations will be used to fund all the cake ingredients I will bake for the kids as well as utilities and delivery expenses. Currently, I am self-funding all expenses, but I can't do this on my own.   I have been teaching cake decorating in my free time to support this cause but I realized this is not enough as requests for birthday cakes have been pouring in.

My hope and future plans include spreading the goodness of this program to benefit the underprivileged children nationwide.  So please, open your heart and join me.  With your donations, I will forever be grateful. Together, we can make a difference in a child's life one celebration at a time.

TESTIMONIAL:

Hi Melinda,

We love being able to share feedback on the wonderful sweet treats you make. San Diego Youth Services, Counseling Cove sent us some "sweet" words about your baking for Jasmine and we wanted to pass them along:

"The cake was beautifully done and definitely made the kiddo’s day! She has recently been going through a lot of tough life transitions and I was so glad she was able to have her cake to celebrate her special day! The first thing she did was take a picture and send it to all her friends.  Thanks again!"

Thank you for delivering smiles!
