For five years now, we have proudly sponsored PALESTINIAN CULTURAL NIGHT, our largest event that draws in over 200 UofSC students and local community members to celebrate Palestinian culture and resistance. Our event provides a unique opportunity for interactive showcasing of Palestinian art, dance, food, and history before a diverse and inclusive audience. Through our Cultural Night, we are able to combat efforts to dehumanize Palestinians and provide critical context for understanding current events and the ongoing struggle for Palestinian rights.

This year, we faced trouble navigating the university’s budget application process and were informed that we are ineligible for funding. In spite of this setback, we are determined to continue with our events and our work toward supporting justice in Palestine, BUT we cannot do this without your help. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and will go toward ensuring the SJP at UofSC continues to be a strong presence in Columbia, SC.
