I am swimming 10k through November to raise money in aid of Parkinson's Disease Society, UK!
This illness really effected my Nana Norma since the age of 68 and in turn affected my family. She was such an amazing women who unfortunately passed away in November, 10 years ago. She was known for loving life, her family and having the most fabulous wardrobe, especially her stiletto heels.
I used to be a competitive swimmer but I haven't swam much since for the last 10 years, so this will be a rewarding challenge.
Every donation you give will help so many people like my nana and give them the support they need. Maybe even find a cure for this horrible illness.
Parkinson's Disease Society, UK say:
"We’re close to major breakthroughs. Funding the right research into the most promising treatments, we get closer to a cure every day.
Until then, we're here for everyone affected by Parkinson’s. Fighting for fair treatment and better services.
People with Parkinson’s, scientists and supporters, fundraisers and families, carers and clinicians, all working side by side. Impatient for change, we’re taking a stand, speaking out, chipping in, and playing our part."
