Standing Strong with Sophia: Cancer & Surgery Recovery Fund

Hi, my name is Marisabel, and I'm the proud mom of Sophia.

I've started this GoFundMe for my daughter, Sophia, a bright and kind 17-year-old high school senior.

Just two months ago, Sophia was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma, turning what should have been her exciting senior year into an unexpected and difficult journey. As if that wasn’t enough, last week she was also diagnosed with a non-cancerous tumor in her right heel, which requires surgery so she can walk without pain.

We are doing everything we can to stay strong and positive, but the medical bills and expenses have become overwhelming. To make things harder, my job reduced my hours from full-time salary to part-time (25 hours a week) shortly before Sophia’s diagnosis, which has made this time even more stressful.
