Help Sofia to live a better life

Sofia is now 7. She is a kind-hearted little girl who loves being around her family. She loves a good puzzle and would throw the best tea party for her school friends. At night, she sleeps in her bed with her best "friends" (Tigger and a few others). She goes to a normal school and wanders around like other kids, except that Sofia has a rare neurological-condition which could deteriorate over the next few years.
Sofia is suffering from a condition known as H-ABC ( http://www.h-abc.org/habc/). As of 2016, less than 100 individuals with this condition have been identified and it's caused by a single mutation in the TUBB4A gene. If you live with Sofia, she has very similar challenges like people who suffer from multiple sclerosis (MS) and cerebral palsy.
Sofia's daily life is fun but met with challenges. She has problems with fine motor control which mean simple things that we take for granted are a challenge for her- such as moving independently, writing, swallowing to learning difficulties.
This fund will help her to gain more independence, improve her quality of life and boost her self esteem as she grows up into a little lady, the funding will be used includes:
- Specialist physiotherapy
- Speech therapy
- Electric wheelchair system
- Occupational therapy
- Neuropsychological therapy
We hope to witness her taking her first independent steps in the coming few years.
Sofia lives in Caversham, near Reading (UK) with Daddy Alan Tang and Mummy Dr. Michelle Teng. The fund is raised by Alan to be used directly for Sofia medical support (see above).
