Sofia, our talented granddaughter, began singing at just 4 years old and has been dedicated to her passion ever since. She started formal voice lessons at age 12, sang in choirs and performed in musical theatre. She is now a proud student at the School of Music at Texas A&M.

Recently, Sofia auditioned for the prestigious Austrian American Mozart Academy, a summer opera program held in Austria. We’re thrilled to share that she was selected for the lead role of Bastienne in Mozart's "Bastien und Bastienne."

Harlow and I are beyond proud of the dedication and hard work Sofia has poured into her craft over the years to earn such an incredible opportunity.

Now comes the part where we humbly ask for your support. This is our first time creating a GoFundMe—we even had to Google how to set one up!

To attend the program, Sofia will need to travel to Salzburg, Austria, and participate in a month-long rehearsal and performance schedule. The total cost of tuition, lodging, and airfare is $5,300. While our family is doing everything we can to contribute, we’re not able to cover the full amount.
