I’m Alex,

Most of you would know my cousin Brendan as ‘Wally’ or ‘Smarty’. Smarty is a father, husband, friend, athlete and barista. He is a well know me never of the community spending a lot of time in multiple sports clubs such as cricket, footy and most of all, Athletics. Brendan sadly has just been diagnosed with lymphoma a condition effecting the respiratory system. Brendan needs to spend time in Melbourne for specialist appointments and surgery’s. His beloved wife Maggie and daughter Josie have had limited time with him while he is away for treatment due to working and school which makes it difficult for all parties. Brendan is also not getting paid from his day job while he is away. It is possible that he will need to spend a lot more time in Melbourne away from his family.
