Our son, Niklaus, surprised us by arriving two months early. At just over a week old, he is fighting every day in the NICU after a difficult pregnancy filled with medical complications. He is tiny but strong, and we are so proud of his courage already.

As parents, all we want is to give him the love and support he needs, but the hospital has already started asking for payments. With Sloan missing work to be at Niklaus’ side during his first fragile days, our family has quickly fallen into a financial bind we weren’t prepared for.
