My name is Skye, and I never imagined I’d be in this situation. My young daughter and I were living with a man I thought I could trust. At first, he showered us with gifts and promises—helping with a phone, a car, and a place to stay. But his behavior quickly became controlling, jealous, and manipulative.

When he would get angry, instead of working through things, he used control as punishment. Recently, out of rage, he took back everything he had given—our housing, the car, the phone—without any care for what it would mean for my daughter and me. Overnight, we lost stability and were left with nothing.

Right now, we are homeless, without transportation, and without basic security. I don’t have a job at the moment, and I’m doing my best to keep my daughter safe while trying to rebuild from scratch.

I’m asking for help to get back on my feet—for stable housing, transportation, and essentials so I can work toward finding employment and creating a safe, healthy life for my daughter and me.
