Help Skin Potion Make Soap for Freddy’s shelters!

This initiative has been calling to me for a year and a half but it's finally clicked into place.

Many of us don’t consider day-to-day just how lucky we are to have such beautiful,  warm, cozy homes with extra running water to waste, cozy beds to sleep in, enough food to eat and clothing to keep us warm in winter. I, myself am thankful for all of this every day and teach my children how lucky we are.

Many people don’t have the basic essentials in their lives due to circumstance. Many New Brunswickers are always just a pay check or two away from homelessness while others are overstocking on toilet paper, filling a room with shoes or spending hundreds on things like botox or expensive face creams.

I’ve donated clothing, food and soap in the past but now I want to do it on a larger scale, using my business as a platform to reach more people! I already love to give soap to friends, family and customers but now it's time to give to people who REALLY need it.

I want the less fortunate to have the simple delight of washing with beautiful hydrating handmade soap instead of the cheap, drying dollarstore stuff they're used to. I'll be using the regular formula I use for all my soaps- just olive and organic coconut oil!

I want them to have comfortable, clean skin that won’t itch or feel dry.

I’ve collected TEN pounds of soap shavings from all my assorted scraps that will create a confetti soap with a super mild blend of fragrance and essential oils. I can’t guarantee I’ll keep as many odds and ends from bevelling soap in the future- it’s a LOT of extra work for literally no purpose other than aesthetics— I’d much rather use that time MAKING soap for a worthy cause!

I’ve already talked to the Homeless Shelter and they’re excited about this. I want to eventually branch out to the other shelters like the Women’s Shelter. We’ll see how it goes.

Please donate whatever you can- even just $5 gets me one step closer! $17 buys a container of olive oil or coconut. I need at least $100 to get started.
