Hi, Siya, 7-year-old bubbly girl has always had frail health, repeatedly contracting unusual infections, hospital was almost like a second home to her. It turns out this was because she has a rare condition that causes severe immunodeficiency, confirmed by a recent DNA test. Very few cases of this condition have been comfirmed worldwide so far. Fortunately, one of the leading researchers on this is a Nepalese doctor (Dr Dharmagat Bhattarai) and he is supervising Siya's care. With noninvasive interventions proving ineffective, Bone marrow transplant is the only option. This procedure can only be performed in specialized facilities in India. Also, the estimated cost is over NPR 60 lakhs, a huge amount for a Nepalese middle-class family. With no other option in sight, Shashi has reluctantly agreed to allow us to run a fund raiser. We urge everybody to consider donating to this cause
