2 years ago, it came to my attention that an estranged childhood friend and her 6 children were homeless and being abused and neglected by their mother. Physical, emotional, and educational abuse, withholding love, food, water, and shelter... The children had never attended school, ages 1, 2, 8, 12, 13, and 16. When CPS got involved, if I didn't take the kids, they would be separated into different hotel rooms, being watched by strangers in shifts throughout the day for God knows how long. CPS helped me get them in school and to the doctor. That's it! The father of the 2 youngest babies worked tirelessly to get the kids from the mother, all of his time and money went towards the kids. I would like to thank him for his unwavering support he has given me in the last 2 years. The amount of learning the kids have soaked in the past 2 years is VERY IMPRESSIVE. They are trying so hard to catch up and are thriving in school. Teachers are amazed at the progress, even giving the principal's award to one child. I have been caring for these children and my 2 for 2 years with no financial help. I could have been approved for fostering them, but that would mean the children would be property of the state and the babies could be adopted out. I want to keep them TOGETHER; they have been through so much, SEEN SO MUCH. They need each other. I need a bigger home for them. They've never had a home of their own. A room of their own. Any money given to this GoFundMe will be directly used to fund a bigger home. I have worked hard to buy land, and it's ready to go. I've been independent and single for 10 years it's hard to ask for help but it's not for me, it's for them. Please help me to give these kids a home they can all fit in, and thank you so much.
