Anh & Willa are dear friends who have unfortunately had a run of bad times the last 7+ months. It is with this outreach to you and all our comminities that I ask for your sincere help for her and her daughter.
Back in April, Anh & Willa lost their home and all their belongings to a house fire (see in the photo what was left). If that wasnt enough, Anh lost her job and the homeless, little to no income set them on the path of a summer filled with camping out, which seemed fun but I'm sure they never want to see a tent again!
After all this, Anh entrusted someone to take on the project of building her and her daughter a new home; a tiny home, to replace the home they lost and set out on their new "tiny" journey. Sadly, the contractor took her for granted and took all her money and delivered nothing as promised but an unfinished, wrongfully constructed box of wood on wheels. She has since been staying with family, wishing for a day to be on their own again.
Anh has been enduring the worst a single parent has to deal with. Where will they stay? Where will they live now that it's winter here in VT? Where will the next dollar come from for her and her 10 year old daughter? All things as we as parents pray never becomes reality, yet Anh & Willa keep hope and remain resilient
that God's plan is God's plan and all will be ok.
I sit back and watch people disappoint them and take them for granted and can no longer take it. Anh is the most kind, caring, gentle woman I know. She is the friend who puts everyones need before her very own and will give you the shirt right off her back, even if it is her only one. Willa is a talented, smart, loving girl who just wants things back to normal. She has endured a lot these last several months.
It all breaks my heart, but I too have hope and it is with great prayer that I ask you all to reach out to your communities and help these lovely ladies get back on track. Give them a HOME for the holidays.
Thank you all and God Bless
