Please Help My Sister Geena — A Single Mom Facing a Life-Changing Emergency

Hi, my name is Teisha, and I’m writing on behalf of someone who would never ask for help herself — my sister, Geena. (To some, she’s known lovingly as Tigga or GiGi.) She’s the kind of person who always shows up for others — whether it was as a 911 dispatcher or in her more recent work as a medical assistant. Her life has always been about helping people in their hardest moments.

Now, she’s the one in need of help — and she’d never ask, so I’m doing it for her.

Just days ago, Geena was in a devastating motorcycle accident. What should have been a simple ride home turned into a nightmare. Her beloved bike — her freedom, her therapy, her joy — was destroyed. And worse, so was her ability to live life the way she once did.

Geena is now unable to walk or perform even the simplest tasks on her own. Every step, every movement requires assistance. She’s in constant pain, physically and emotionally — grieving the sudden loss of her independence, and the passion she had for riding.

Before the accident, she was preparing to enter the military — excited for a new beginning, and ready to create a better future for herself and her daughter. Now, that dream is on hold, and survival has taken its place.

She’s a single mom to a bright, beautiful elementary schooler who looks up to her as her everything. That little girl is scared — scared for her mom, and scared of the unknown.

We’re doing everything we can to hold things together, but we can’t do it alone.
