Hello my name is Barbara Escurra and I’m creating this go fund me for my best friend Sierra Gaines. My best friend of 24 years woke up a few weeks ago not being able to see out of her left eye. Clueless as to what the issue was she went to an eye doctor. From there they told her she had to go to the emergency room at TGH. Sadly, Sierra was diagnosed with MS and Optic Neuritis. I can’t lie I was genuinely very upset when I got the news. How does the person who does EVERYTHING for others turn out to be the one with an incurable auto immune disease? The girl who gives her time, her energy, her light and her love… The way Sierra is handling everything is truly so inspiring and humbling to say the very least. She’s always been an inspiration to me, but now she really is more than ever. If anyone knows her she is fiercely independent and also pretty private. So her allowing me to create this is HUGE. I’m asking anyone small or big to please donate what they can to help assist her with this new journey in life she will be on FOREVER. She has had to take a leave of absence from work for a while. As we all know just because life happens, doesn’t mean the bills stop coming.
