My daughter Sierra has discovered a true passion for dance over the past year. She started ballet just a year ago at The Dance Zone in Henderson, NV, and her dedication quickly caught the attention of her teachers. Sierra was thrilled and surprised when she was invited to audition for the studio’s performing and competition team. She worked hard, made the team, and just started her new season last week. When the studio announced they’d been invited to perform in the Disneyland Holly Jolly Jubilee parade this November, Sierra knew she had to be part of it. She told me, “talk about a core memory, mom!”


The funds raised will cover Sierra’s participation in the parade, including her costume, performance shoes and tights, a special Dance Zone Disneyland performer t-shirt, a swag bag, and a participation award. It also includes magical morning treats on parade day, dance choreography, photo and video downloads, studio rehearsals, parade chaperones, and a day-of dress rehearsal and kickoff. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Sierra to bond with her dance teammates, perform in front of a huge audience, and accomplish something truly special at such a young age.


Our family is so proud of Sierra’s hard work and passion for dance. The parade falls on her little brother Everett’s birthday, so we’ll be making this a birthday trip to celebrate both of them.
