Bring Hope to Shubi and Her Son This Ramadan
Assalamu Alaikum, my name is Rani, and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea. I am fundraising for Shubi and her 14-year-old son, who live in the small village of Nohorpur, Bangladesh.
Shubi is a single mother who has struggled with mental health challenges since childhood. Her life became even more difficult when, while pregnant, her husband abandoned her, leaving her to raise their child alone. Today, they live in a fragile shelter made mostly of tin sheets—offering little protection from heavy rain, strong winds, or extreme heat. It is unsafe, unstable, and lacks the dignity every family deserves.
Because of her condition, Shubi cannot work consistently and often relies on small donations from locals just to afford basic food. Yet, despite every hardship, she continues to care for her son with remarkable strength and love.
This Ramadan, we have the chance to transform their lives. Our goal is to raise £2,000 to build a safe, secure, and stable home for Shubi and her son.
This will:
• Replace their unsafe tin structure
• Build secure walls and a proper roof
• Create a dry and stable living space
• Give her son a safe place to grow, study, and thrive
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
"Whoever relieves a believer's distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter." (Sahih Muslim)
Your donation — no matter how small — can protect them from storms, give them safety at night, and restore dignity to their lives. If you cannot donate, please share this page to help spread hope.
Together, we can give Shubi and her son more than a house — we can give them a home filled with safety, love, and hope this Ramadan.
