We are a group of students from Sacred Heart University embarking on a life-changing journey to Kenya as part of SHU’s Global Service-Learning Program. This experience offers us the unique opportunity to engage with communities beyond the classroom—learning, serving, and growing in partnership with local organizations.

We will be working alongside Kenyan non-profits on projects that promote education, health, and community development. One of our initiatives will be the distribution of sanitary napkins to girls in local schools. In many parts of Kenya, access to menstrual hygiene products is limited. This often leads to girls missing school each month or even dropping out entirely. By providing sanitary napkins, we aim to support young girls in staying in school, maintaining their dignity, and continuing their education without interruption.

We are raising funds to support this initiative and donate directly to the community organizations we’ll be serving alongside. Your contribution will help supply essential materials.
