My name is Shilah Morgana. I am a Black transgender woman living in Kampala, Uganda, in a slum area. Life here is very hard for transgender people it’s unsafe, and we are constantly facing harassment, discrimination, and the threat of eviction.
I live with 8 other transgender women who are also facing these same challenges. We are all struggling to afford rent, food, transportation, and access to healthcare, including hormone therapy and basic medication.
There is no government support for people like us, and every day is a fight for survival. We are reaching out to the world, hoping that kind people can stand with us and help us live in dignity and safety.
How the Money Will Be Used:
• Rent for 9 people
• Medication and hormone treatment
• Transportation to safe places or clinics
• Food and hygiene supplies
• Emergency relocation or protection if we’re attacked or evicted
