Help Shield's Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of July 5th, my parents’ home was engulfed in flames after a stray firework landed in a trash can behind the house. My aunt was the first to spot the fire and quickly alerted my father, who immediately tried to put out the flames. He fought as hard as he could, but the water pressure was too weak due to the growing damage.
The fire department arrived quickly, but unfortunately, the fire, smoke, and water caused significant destruction. The home is now uninhabitable, and nearly everything inside has been lost — clothes, furniture, appliances, and decades of memories.
What makes this even more heartbreaking is that, just a week before the fire, my dad had received quotes to make necessary home repairs in order to finalize homeowners insurance. Before he could complete the process, tragedy struck. We now face the painful reality that there is no insurance coverage to help us recover from this loss.
My parents and family are safe, and for that, we are so grateful. But now we need help — to rebuild, repair the home, and replace the essentials they lost.
We are humbly asking for any support you can give, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser. Every dollar helps us get closer to making their house a home again.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, compassion, and prayers.
With gratitude,
The Shield’s Family
