Dear friends, family, and community,

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to share some devastating news about my sister, Sheryl. Yesterday, she lost everything in a house fire. While we are incredibly grateful that she was not there, the reality of what comes next is overwhelming. The fire destroyed not only her home, but also all of her personal belongings, leaving her to start completely from scratch. I personally went to the site whilst the fire brigade were still there and it was truly soul destroying. She has nothing left. Her beautiful cat Spartacus was also inside and did not make it which makes this whole thing even more heart breaking.

On top of this tremendous loss, she will require ongoing support as she works to rebuild her life. From finding a place to stay, to replacing essentials like clothing, furniture, and household items, to managing the emotional challenges ahead— this journey will not be easy on her or her daily life.

So many people have asked how they can help. The truth is, financial assistance right now will make the biggest difference. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping my sister get back on her feet and ensuring she has the resources she needs in the weeks and months ahead.
